William A. Stock is a founding partner of Klasko, Rulon, Stock &
Seltzer, LLP, a firm devoted exclusively to the practice of immigration
and nationality law with offices in Philadelphia and New York. He
handles all aspects of immigration law, including assisting companies
and individuals in obtaining employment- and family-based visas;
resolving citizenship issues and obtaining naturalization; and defending
clients in DHS and Department of Labor enforcement proceedings. For
more than 15 years, he has been assisting entrepreneurs and investors in
obtaining temporary and permanent resident status. Some notable
achievements include:
* Assisting a UK property management firm to open a US office and
enter the US property management market, including obtaining an investor
visa for its primary shareholder;
* Transferring an Indian executive and his family to the United
States to create a US office of a diversified family-owned holding
company in the process of acquiring its first US companies; and
* Guiding investors to obtain nonimmigrant and immigrant visas
through creation of diverse small businesses, including service
providers, import-export firms, restaurants and retail outlets.
In addition to his work for clients, he currently serves as a member of
the Board of Governors of the American Immigration Lawyers Association
(AILA), is a past Chair of the Philadelphia Chapter of AILA, and is a
member of the Editorial Board of the Lexis Publishing journal Bender's
Immigration Bulletin. He has authored many articles on immigration law
topics and is an Adjunct Faculty Member at Villanova University School
of Law. He received the highest ("AV") rating from the
Martindale-Hubble Peer Review System, and has been selected for
inclusion in The Best Lawyers in America, The Chambers Global Guide,
Pennsylvania Super Lawyers, and Who's Who of Business Lawyers.
Recent Representative Matters:
- Assisting a top-10 pharmaceutical client in relocating an entire research group from the UK to the U.S., including traveling to the UK to meet with the members of the group to review their immigration issues so that they agreed to the international transfer.
- Ongoing representation of another top-10 pharmaceutical firm in obtaining permanent residence on behalf of its scientists, managers and key professional staff, and assisting in developing immigration policy to meet the firm’s needs within budgetary constraints.
- Staffing the in-house immigration function on behalf of an institutional client on two occasions for six and nine months, respectively; and
- Successfully litigating immigration matters before immigration judges, Department of Labor Administrative Law Judges, and the federal courts.
